Medical Data Vision Co., Ltd. (\u201cMDV\u201d) (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Hiroyuki Iwasaki), which owns one of the largest medical databases in Japan and promotes data-based medicine, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Philippe Auvaro as its new Executive Director as of January 1, 2022. Mr. Auvaro\u2019s expertise in negotiating with overseas pharmaceutical companies will be fully utilized in the overseas development to promote the data management business. His tasks should also focus on the development of new products and services. Philippe Auvaro is also expected to leverage as well his knowledge in the field of orphan drugs, which is his lifework, not only for business expansion but also to contribute to society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am very honored to join MDV. It is a challenge for me to contribute to an already successful company. I would like to actively participate in MDV\u2019s growth strategy and explore new areas of activity both domestically and internationally, new applications of data, and collaboration with other companies. My goal is to develop and provide new data to make healthcare more efficient and convenient for all people in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MDV has been contributing to the development of oncology treatment methods in Japan. I believe that this successful experience will make a significant contribution to the field of orphan drugs, especially in supporting epidemiological studies. I would also like to incorporate my experience in the field of health economics and cost-effectiveness of healthcare into MDV\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
