Data Utilization Services

With the consent and permission from hospitals or individuals for the secondary use of the anonymized medical and health information accumulated through our “Data Network Services,” we provide analysis data sets related to drugs and diseases to pharmaceutical companies and research institutions. Additionally, we offer various analysis data packs to insurance companies.

Our data utilization business is rapidly expanding into various areas based on the data infrastructure formed through these business models. Initially, our focus was on improving the quality and quantity of medical big data with the consent and permission of hospitals or individuals. Moving forward, we plan to expand our business by providing a wider range of services that utilize the accumulated big data.

In our “Data Network Services,” we have extensively deployed on-premises systems such as “EVE” and “Medical Code” to meet the stringent security requirements for handling medical information on in-hospital servers. Nevertheless, the healthcare industry has seen a surge in demand for better information security literacy and the cloud migration of various medical information systems. As a result, our cloud-based services have significantly expanded. Hence, we introduced the “MDV Act.”

The advantages of using cloud-based services are the convenience to quickly add new functions or modify requirements to match the rapidly changing medical information environment. By understanding the customer’s usage status, we can propose improvements tailored to their issues and provide only the necessary services and functions.

“MDV Act” Main Story, A free analysis application with a main feature that enables all hospitals to preview hospital management indicators

This cloud-based application serves as an entry point for hospital management analysis using the existing products “EVE”*1 and “Medical Code”*2, which list necessary indicators for hospital management analysis. Even those who are not familiar with analysis can easily extract management issues and improvement points for the entire hospital (including outpatient departments and all functions of community-based care wards), and easily create briefing materials easily, without any hassle.

*1 The DPC analysis system enables the analysis of various indicators such as the difference between volume-based billing and DPC billing, patient numbers, length of stay, and medical resources by disease and case type, as well as the comparison (benchmarking) with other hospitals. By leveraging the benchmarking function, hospitals can reveal their trends and characteristics and identify their strengths and weaknesses, thereby enabling them to examine their medical policies, which form the core of hospital management.

*2 “Medical Code” is a system that utilizes standard format data, such as DPC data and health insurance claims data, to support hospital management from multiple angles, including hospital cost calculation and improvement of medical treatment unit prices. With unlimited user registration, it facilitates smooth information sharing within the hospital and promotes conscious reform and actions, leading to management improvement.
