Commencement of Services for All Healthcare Institutions, Including Small and Medium-sized Institutions and Clinics, Leveraging Medipal HD and Layered Networks

Medical Data Vision Co., Ltd. (located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Hiroyuki Iwasaki, hereinafter referred to as “MDV”), which possesses one of the largest medical database (DB) in Japan, has announced the commencement of services for all medical institutions, including small and medium-sized hospitals and clinics, other than acute care hospitals that have entrusted their medical data through the provision of hospital management support systems. As a first step, MDV will be selling the “MDV Receipt Checker,” a system developed by MDV and others for receipt verification.
The MDV Receipt Checker incorporates a high-precision inspection logic that leverages the expertise accumulated in the healthcare institution business, assisting in the appropriate billing of medical fees for small and medium-sized hospitals and clinics. Other features of the MDV Receipt Checker include the inclusion of an inspection result screen for receipts from a subscription-based cloud service, among others. The benefits of its implementation include minimizing customization of inspection rules, enabling efficient workflow, and more.
In order to expand the sales of the MDV Receipt Checker, we plan to leverage MDV’s existing network with hospitals, as well as the networks of major stakeholders such as Medipal Holdings (HD) and Layered Co., Ltd., which handles web-based medical interview systems and entered into a capital and business alliance with MDV in January this year. We aim to reach 1,000 facilities using the MDV Receipt Checker by the end of 2025.
