- April 1, 2024
Medical Data Vision Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroyuki Iwasaki; hereinafter referred to as “MDV”), which possesses the largest domestic medical database (DB) and promotes data-driven healthcare, is pleased to announce the addition of the “Area Analysis Function” to its web-based analytical tool, “MDV Analyzer.” This enhancement enables users to easily analyze patient numbers, prescription days, prescription quantities, and more based on MDV’s medical DB.
The “Area Analysis Function” allows analysis by region, including Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto, Chubu, Kinki, Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu-Okinawa. Additionally, users can customize prefectural combinations up to four patterns according to their preferences.
For example, customization can be done according to each user’s sales branches

As of March 2024, the medical DB has reached data from 47.08 million individuals (actual patients), while insurance data, including health insurance, national health insurance, and late-stage elderly insurance, covers 22.56 million individuals (same period).
