MDV Enhances PHR Karteco’s Autonomic Nervous System Measurement Feature with Improved Visual Graphs and Expanded Health Advice
- April 1, 2025
Medical Data Vision Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hiroyuki Iwasaki, hereinafter “MDV“) announces an enhancement to the autonomic nervous system measurement feature in its Personal Health Record (PHR) system, Karteco.
In November last year, MDV fully revamped Karteco with the concept of “Managing the Health of Myself and My Loved Ones.” The system was equipped with contactless biometric sensing technology, allowing users to measure their autonomic nervous system balance, heart rate, and breathing rate simply by taking a 10-second facial scan with their smartphone camera.
With this update, Karteco now offers:
- Enhanced visualization – The measured Total Power (an indicator of physical fatigue) and Autonomic Nervous System Index (which quantifies mind-body balance) are now displayed as intuitive, easy-to-understand graphs.
- Daily measurement trends – Results are now presented with morning, afternoon, and evening averages, helping users track their autonomic nervous system trends over a week and better manage their daily health.
- Expanded advisory content – The 10 autonomic nervous system modes now include enhanced guidance. Dietary recommendations have been supervised by Dr. Toru Mizoguchi (Mizoguchi Clinic, Tokyo), while Nao Tomono, CEO of SEA Trinity Inc., has overseen advice on rest and relaxation.
