Medical delegation from Luxembourg Economic Mission Visits MDV : Interest Shown in Data Utilization Business and PHR “Karteco”

On the afternoon of June 13th, Thursday, a delegation of hospital representatives from the Luxembourg Economic Mission visited Medical Data Vision Co., Ltd. (MDV) in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. The delegation showed keen interest in MDV’s data utilization business and the Personal Health Record (PHR) system, “Karteco.” MDV President Hiroyuki Iwasaki, along with Executive Officer for International Business Philippe Auvaro, welcomed the delegation.
The Luxembourg Economic Mission visited Japan from June 10th to 13th, comprising about 70 corporate representatives. Led by Crown Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg, the delegation included meetings with the Emperor of Japan and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. Among the visitors to MDV were Dr. Marc Berna, CEO of the Robert Schuman Hospitals Group (HRS), and Carole Brückler, PhD, Head of Digital Health Technologies at the Ministry of the Economy, Luxembourg.

HRS, formed in 2014 through the merger of four clinics, is one of Luxembourg’s largest hospital groups, employing about 310 doctors and 2,300 staff. HRS provides a range of medical services from emergency care to routine medical care, specializing in cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, and neurology.
During their visit on June 13th, HRS representatives engaged in active discussions about MDV’s data utilization business and hospital management support system, “MDV Act,” comparing the medical systems and data handling regulations of Luxembourg and Japan. There was also consensus on the importance of enhancing PHR systems for regional health management and disease prevention. The delegation expressed interest in MDV’s “Karteco” and experienced its non-contact biometric sensing technology that supports daily health management by checking autonomic nervous system balance.
